Red Lion Inn & Suites Goodyear Phoenix

Only thing I didn't care for was the hard hard bed.... But I travel with a foam pad when going long distance as each hotel is different..... But the front desk folks were fabulous.... The room and shower were GREAT... Wonderful water pressure.... Easy parking with my car and U-Haul...... They accommodated me a room where I could peek out the window at it thru the night.... It's also right next to the cracker barre where I had dinner... The hotel breakfast was warm and good with different options..... The pancakes were weird and very flat.. came out of the pancake maker more like crepes. Will definitely stay here again.

I cannot say enough nice things about the Red Lion Inn and Suites. This is my second stay but my first review. I am a City of Hope patient and just returned home from a three night stay. My first stay was just as fantastic as this one. The room was immaculate. The bedding was very comfortable. I absolutely loved the water pressure in the shower. It was strong and felt wonderful on my aching muscles. It was so nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. It really comes in handy to be able to keep cold food in the room and reheat leftovers from the restaurants. The room was quiet. I was exhausted and didn't hear any noise. My room was by the elevator and the ice machine. I never heard a peep in the hallway. I really appreciate the hot and cold breakfast options in the morning. It was always well presented and delicious. Hands down the best thing about the Red Lion Inn and Suites are the employees. Everyone I encountered was incredibly nice. There is one employee that really stands out. The woman who checked me in on 1/2/24 was a saint. I had just finished radiation and was absolutely exhausted. It was two hours until check in. I asked if it would be possible to check in early and at that time she said it would not. I said no problem and I sat down in the lobby. She called me up to the desk less than five minutes later with a room key. I didn't expect that. I cannot fully express how much her kindness meant to me. I took a three hour nap. Thank you to the employees of Red Lion Inn and Suites. I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Your hard work shows. You truly do make a difference.

Staff is AMAZING, rooms over the years have been dramatically improved, could use new guest room carpet. Love the new walk in showers!!!! I can see they are new but caulking was done poorly and maybe hard to clean because the last two times I have stayed they have some need of better cleaning. BUT I have stayed monthly for 5 years at this hotel, I have only had maybe 2 times where my VERY THOROUGH inspection for dirt has ever come out complain-able. I strip beds and look for hair or mess, I look for dust, bugs, and sanitize before I stay, I have to tell you, it’s always clean. I always tell the cleaning staff good job. They are impeccable! So I over look the things that might not be 5 star because I know, I’m staying somewhere that is cared for! The pool is my favorite part, it’s always tidy, heated, nice sauna, and great sun chairs. I have friends in the Goodyear area who come to “my pool” because it’s heated and has a hot tub!!! Music isn’t always on outside but we ask for them to turn it on. Awhile back I asked for stevia sugar and a milk substitute, THEY ACTUALLY CARRY IT NOW! Made me felt heard! This hotel cares about their guests and obviously loves their staff and takes care of them, because they have had the same great people FOREVER! Oh also, I leave at 4am and the amazing ladies at the front always know my departure and have hot coffee ready and waiting! Even if I could stay at a 5 star, foofoo hotel as an option for my travel, I would still choose Red Lion every time! Shopping, food and other fun things to do are right in the area!
